Same Day Delhi Tour by Car (Standard)

Your private car will pick you up from your hotel or a central location in Delhi. You’ll meet your professional guide, who will provide historical context and commentary throughout the day.

Your first stop is Jama Masjid, one of the largest mosques in India. Your guide will provide a detailed explanation of its architecture and significance in Delhi’s history. You can also take photos and admire the grand courtyard (if you wish to climb the minaret, it will have an additional charge).

After Jama Masjid, head to Qutub Minar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the tallest brick minaret in the world. The guide will explain its fascinating history and architectural details. Enjoy exploring the Qutub Complex, including the famous Iron Pillar.

Next, visit Humayun’s Tomb, an iconic example of Mughal architecture. The tomb is known for its grandeur and symmetrical gardens. Your guide will share insights into the design and history of this monument, which inspired the construction of the Taj Mahal.

Head to the bustling heart of Old Delhi, where you’ll embark on an exciting rickshaw ride through the narrow lanes of Chandni Chowk. Experience the vibrant atmosphere of the local markets, food stalls, and shops. Your guide will point out significant spots and local landmarks as you glide through this historic area.

Enjoy a traditional North Indian or Mughlai lunch at a local restaurant. This can include famous dishes such as butter chicken, dal makhani, naan, and kebabs (lunch is optional and can be added to the tour at an additional cost).

Next, you’ll drive past the majestic Red Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Delhi’s most iconic landmarks. Although this is a drive-through, your guide will explain the historical significance of the fort and its architectural beauty.

Continue with a drive-through of India Gate, the war memorial dedicated to Indian soldiers, and Parliament House, where the government of India convenes. Your guide will provide commentary on these landmarks’ historical and political importance.

If time permits, you can visit Akshardham Temple, an architectural wonder known for its intricate carvings and stunning exhibitions on Indian culture (please note that entry fees may apply for exhibitions).

After a full day of sightseeing, your driver will drop you back at your hotel or any specified location in Delhi by 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, depending on the traffic and time spent at each stop.
