Itinerary

  1. Day 1: Arrival & Sightseeing in Delhi

Your tour begins with a personalized pickup by your private driver at Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) or your hotel in Delhi. Meet your local guide to explore Old and New Delhi. In Old Delhi, visit Jama Masjid and take a rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk, driving past the Red Fort.
In the afternoon, discover New Delhi’s highlights: the brick minaret of Qutub Minar and the garden tomb of Humayun’s Tomb. Drive along the Rajpath past India Gate, Rashtrapati Bhavan (Presidential Palace), and the Parliament House. Check into your Delhi hotel for an overnight stay.

  2. Day 2: Delhi to Agra Drive & Historic Sightseeing

After breakfast, check out of your hotel and take a 3.5-hour drive to Agra via the Yamuna Expressway in your private vehicle. Check into your hotel upon arrival and relax.
In the afternoon, meet your local Agra guide to explore Agra Fort, the former royal seat of the Mughal Dynasty featuring marble halls and scenic courtyards. Visit Itmad-ud-Daula (Baby Taj) and finish your evening with a sunset view of the Taj Mahal from Mehtab Bagh across the Yamuna River.

  3. Day 3: Taj Mahal Sunrise, Fatehpur Sikri & Drive to Ranthambore

Rise early for a breathtaking sunrise visit to the Taj Mahal. Watch the morning light illuminate the ivory-white marble mausoleum as your guide shares details of Mughal architecture and history. Return to your hotel for breakfast and check out.
Depart Agra for Ranthambore National Park. En route, stop at Fatehpur Sikri, the abandoned 16th-century Mughal capital built by Emperor Akbar, home to the Buland Darwaza and Tomb of Salim Chishti. Continue your drive into Rajasthan, arriving in Ranthambore by evening. Check into your jungle resort for dinner and an overnight stay.

  4. Day 4: Morning & Afternoon Safaris in Ranthambore National Park

Spend the day exploring the wild landscapes of Ranthambore National Park, a former royal hunting ground turned tiger reserve anchored by the 10th-century Ranthambore Fort.
Head out early in the morning on a shared 4x4 Jeep or 20-seater Canter safari accompanied by a natural guide to track Royal Bengal Tigers, leopards, sambar deer, marsh crocodiles, and bird species. Return to the resort for breakfast and rest during midday hours. In the late afternoon, set out for a second jungle safari across different core park zones before returning to your resort for dinner.

  5. Day 5: Drive from Ranthambore to Jaipur & Afternoon Sightseeing

Enjoy breakfast at your resort before checking out. Board your private vehicle for a 3.5-hour scenic drive to the "Pink City" of Jaipur. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and meet your local guide.
In the afternoon, visit the City Palace complex, featuring courtyards, royal museums, and weapons displays, followed by the neighboring UNESCO World Heritage Site Jantar Mantar, an 18th-century astronomical observatory. Pause for photographs at the honeycomb facade of the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds). Spend the evening exploring local Rajasthani bazaars.

  6. Day 6: Amber Fort & Jaipur Cultural Exploration

After breakfast, head to the Aravalli Hills to explore Amber Fort. Walk through its grand courtyards, cobblestone paths, and the mirror-decorated Sheesh Mahal. Stop for photos at Jal Mahal (Water Palace), floating peacefully in Man Sagar Lake.
In the afternoon, visit Panna Meena ka Kund, an ancient stepwell, or take a drive up to Nahargarh Fort for panoramic views over Jaipur. Enjoy free time in the evening for shopping or sampling local Rajasthani cuisine.

  7. Day 7: Jaipur to Delhi Return Drive & Departure

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast at your hotel before checking out. Board your private vehicle for the return journey to Delhi along the Delhi-Jaipur Expressway (NH 48).
Upon reaching Delhi in the late afternoon or early evening, your driver will drop you off at Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL), New Delhi Railway Station, or your preferred hotel, completing your 7-day tour.

Frequently Asked Questions

When is Ranthambore National Park open for safaris?

Ranthambore National Park is open to visitors from October 1 to June 30. The park remains closed during the monsoon season (July through September) due to animal breeding seasons and unpaved jungle track conditions.

What is the difference between a Jeep and a Canter safari in Ranthambore?

A Jeep is an open-top 6-seater 4x4 vehicle that offers better maneuverability and quieter movement on tight forest tracks, making it ideal for photographers. A Canter is an open-top 20-seater bus that operates on designated main tracks. Both vehicles visit the same safari zones.

How far in advance should Ranthambore safari slots be booked?

Ranthambore safari permits are issued by the Rajasthan Forest Department and operate on a strict quota system. It is strongly recommended to book your tour at least 60 to 90 days in advance, especially for peak travel months (November to April).

Can the Taj Mahal and Ranthambore both be visited on the same day?

Yes, in this itinerary, you visit the Taj Mahal at sunrise on Day 3, check out, stop at Fatehpur Sikri, and drive 5–6 hours to reach Ranthambore by evening in time for rest before next morning's safari.

What clothes should I pack for jungle safaris in Ranthambore?

Earthy tone clothing (khaki, beige, olive green) is recommended to blend into the natural jungle surroundings. Mornings in winter (December to February) can be very cold during open-air safaris, so warm layers, gloves, and caps are essential.
